Announcing Pseudoform 0.2.1.1225

Postby Svenstaro » 10 Oct 2009, 18:58

We know it's rather late to announce this but we wanted to be sure that this release will at least work for as many people as possible.

So without further words, head over to the download page.

Some notes:
  • It will probably not work on Intel integrated graphics cards
  • We see some inconsistent problems on different ATI cards
  • FULL SOURCE INCLUDED! (yes, we've gone open source)
  • This release is not a game, it is barely a tech demo and we need you to send in patches
  • Please only use Editor mode as Play mode is incomplete
  • It will hang (as in freeze) a little while generating thumbnails, be patient
  • If you are on Windows, you will need 7zip to extract this archive

Yes, it is pretty late to announce release, it's almost a month late I believe. Also, it's not working for as many people as possible as I can't play it.

Actually, it's only about 2 weeks late of this build's release.

This time it comes both in normal and torrent downloads...
Since I was fed up with waiting for my torrent, I gave the normal one a try. Boom! Downloaded in just over a minute o_O

Great, last one worked, buggy, but really fun.

This one? Editor always crashes and plays some elevator music that wasn't in the last build.

Specs?

Video- 9800 GTX+

Processor- AMD 6400+ X2 Dual core processor.

Kirby0, can you be precise? "always crashes?" Post a log report in the Support forum, otherwise we can't debug.

"Full source included" does this mean that the game will be open source (all releases or only this one ?) ?

I figured out from another topic that it is just the engine loading.

It took a while, but it actually unfroze and is now a bit smoother then the last build.

If it's used for nothing then why does it exist?
Maybe it's one of the mysteries of the internet.

wow the forums have been reeeeally quiet since it got released, except for the odd, "help! not working" post and the mac testing posts. just thought i'd comment on that, it's like a ghost town, i guess everyone is just stunned into submission by playing it, or they're making really nice props. :teapot:

I've given up on running it. It just crashes. It's probably a sound problem, but it can't run even with no other sound programs running. I've concluded that I can't run the game, that is, if you can call it that, on this computer. Unfortunately, this is our best computer, so it's quite upsetting.
